Rail Tech Group Win DB Schenker Contract
Rail Tech Group’s growing rail depot maintenance portfolio has now been further enhanced with the award of a three year contract to undertake maintenance upon signalling equipment at various DB Schenker depots. The contract will run from February 2010 and covers depots based at Ayr, Falkland Junction, Kingsbury, Milford and Eastleigh with one possible further depot to be added later in the year.
The contract has been awarded to maintain all of the signalling assets contained in each depot such as signals, track circuits, point machines, location cases and ground frames, whilst providing 24/7 rapid response to rectify any faults that may arise.
As with all of our maintenance contracts we will firstly undertake a detailed asset condition survey to identify any existing or high risk areas of potential failure, enabling us to work with our customer to renew equipment or offer alternatives to eradicate these problems where possible.
With this award we now maintain both signalling and permanent way equipment for various customers at nine depots nationally and are actively negotiating to increase this number further.
Simon Jamieson (Rail Tech Group’s Managing Director) commented “We are delighted with this award not only because it introduces another valued customer to our company but because it is in line with our strategic objective to secure an increased presence within this area over the coming years”.
