Case Studies

At present Rail Tech Group are involved in a number of major Type A re-signalling projects supplying skilled IRSE signalling technicians to many of the traditional 1st tier railway signalling companies such as Invensys, Atkins and Signalling Solutions. Other customers include Jarvis, Carillion, Balfour Beatty, Volker Fitzpatrick, Kier, Barhale Rail, BAM Nuttall and TFL. 

In addition to supporting the U.K's large re-signalling schemes over the last 3 year period Rail Tech Group has directly delivered over 425 minor projects and renewals for Network Rail alone ranging in value from £5,000 - £1.8 Million.

Rail Tech Group also support projects on the LUL infrastructure and this is growing area of its business. Recent and current projects include the following schemes:

North London Line Re-Signalling
Acting as direct installation resource to Atkins Rail for all Signalling work associated with work packages 2, 6 and 8

For a period of 2 months Rail Tech undertook detailed cable route surveying from Northampton to Stafford producing final reports for Network Rail

To facilitate the line speed upgrade in the Margate station area it was necessary to the slew the down main line leading into the station itself over a distance of 300 yards.
